It is probably Michael McDowell's Crash, Clint Bowyer at both Daytona 500s , Michael Waltrips at the 2004 Daytona 500 and Brad Keselowski's Last Summer In Bristol When The JR Motorsports Car Crashed and Caught on Fire

Yeah Ed P, I saw that Fireball Roberts crash that was the very first Nascar race I ever went to, I can still cry about it today to me that one is always going to be the worse, Richard Petty had a super bad one at Darlington that I was at also. Yes it was a bad one today, I re-watched it on the big screen, wow a rookie at that..Congrats to Nascar for the Safety Barriers and a very safe COT..Yes this was a terrible crash, and he walked away, thats the best part. I remember Bodines wreck also, yeah what was bad also, and again he is still alive...Racing has gotten a lot safer through the years which is great for the drivers and the drivers fans as well.. How many of you remember when they didn't even wear firesuits..I remember those days, I keep thinking what might have been "IF" Fireball Roberts had a firesuit on..

Michael Waltrip and Mike Harmon's wrecks at Bristol were almost identical and extremely bad. Unbelievably, they both walked away. Geoff Bodine's wreck at Daytona was definitely up there also.

They are talking G-forces. Geoff Bodine and Mike Harmon have the worst crashes ever.

I've never seen anyone stand up and walk away from a nastier wreck. People have lived through worse, but walk away? That was a great spectacle and fun to watch. I'm glad that we don't have a terrible injury (or worse) to focus on come Sunday.

Probably not the worst but that all depends on how long you have been watching racing. I remember a certain M & M machine that went for quite a ride flipping too many times to count but that would have to be 10 years ago. Also the Shrub rolled over pretty good a couple of years ago too.

I don't know about worst crash EVER, but it was a hell of a hard crash. When you look at the Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin Jr wrecks, this one definitely has all the makings of a fatal accident. Just a few short years ago he wouldn't have just walked away, at the very least. THANK YOU NASCAR for the COT and SAFER barriers.
