Why does one rinse a burette/pipette with the solution they will be using in the titration? How does not rinsing it cause inaccuracies?
If the burette/ pipette has already been rinsed with distilled water, why do you still need to rinse it with the solution in use?

If you don't rinse the water, you are slightly altering the concentration of the solution you are putting in the burette. Pre-rinsing also has the benefit of coating the burette with your solution which allows for more accurate volume distribution. If you don't coat the burette, some of your solution may stick to the walls and you won't dispense the exact volume desired. It's just a good chemistry practice in general. Shortcuts, while appealing, will usually cause you to have to repeat the whole thing over due to inaccuracies.

Reagents left in the burett/pipette can react with the solution you are titrating with, causing your titration solution to be impure and your titration results inaccurate.
