Contract mobiles?

I have just purchased a new package off the Internet, but now realised that my existing contract does not come up to the minimal 18 month term till the end of May.

My question is does by new contact start automatically from the date of purchase, or not until I actually insert the sim and connect to the network? I am not going to open the packaging until I know for sure.

many thanks in advance

You are probably currently paying for two cell phone numbers. Most carriers will not allow you to re-new the contract until you become eligible. We see customers come in all the time who have done it online with a reseller, and have actually signed up for a new wireless number and new service. Double check to make sure you are not one of them. Also, when you become eligible depends on how much you spend. The more you spend, the quicker the company makes the money back on the phone, the quicker you become eligible to re-sign for a discount, so it may be that you were eligible prior to the 18 months

Contracts are usually in acceptance when the carrier ships the device or parts to you. Actually using them has nothing to do with the contract. Most carrier have a return period during which you may cancel a new contract that you've made with them.

  • Sorry, but your contract starts from the day of purchase.

I think it will start immediately you have received a phone you havent paid for part of yur contract payments is surely to cover the cost of the phone itself

if you think it's not a good contract then you can send it back to them as you have 14 day's pre contract of returning the goods or services.
