Well, there aren't many places they would like to have you because of your age and i haven't been to New york i mean i grew up there but i moved to somewhere else when i was like 3 so.... but maybe you could do something like help a librarian or something check out books... I've done that before and i got like $40 bucks a day and if you like to read it's a good job or stacking groceries, i mean it's not that fun except when people come you can talk to them...lol and their might be some hot guys. I don't think many food restaurants would hire you at your age though....
Hope i helped! :]

None, of course, but even if you prove that pro-illegals will say that you should be ashamed to do them. You know the line, "If an illegal can take your job you should get more education". As if they were somehow entitled to your job and still entitled to claim exploitation for accepting lower wages to get it. It's awfully quiet in here. I'm waiting for proof that I'm not an American because of some of the jobs I've had. Is it just me or has this questioned disappeared from the list even though it hasn't technically been removed? I guess it's back, lol.

Minors not yet 14 may not be employed at any time, neither after school nor during vacation
Minors 14 and 15 years old may work after school hours and during vacations, but not in factory work. They may do delivery and clerical work in any enclosed office of a factory, and in dry cleaning, tailor, shoe repair, and similar service stores.
Minors 16 and 17 years of age, if not attending school, may work full time throughout the year. Factory work is permitted for minors 16 years of age or older.
There are exceptions which you can find at the cited website.

The most common job for 14 year olds is getting a job at a grocer bagging groceries. You tend to get between minimum wage and $8 an hour, so it's pretty good money for just starting out. However if you do take this job make sure you don't do any extremely long shifts!

Can you get a job, yea with your parents approval it should be no problem. Talk to your folks and see if they have any family friends who would hire you to do things like clean up around the office and various odd jobs. When I was 14, the apartment complex I lived in hired me to shovel snow and it turned into a full time job doing yard work and pool work.

I live in Buffalo, not over by long island, but where I do live, you can get a job when you're like 16-17 or something.

Do they have news paper deliveries by person or car where you live? Check into that-being a newspaper delivery gal.
How about canvassing your neighborhood to be a dog walker ? A pet sitter while people are on vacation. Just give it some thought.

you need to get a job permit from school, which they don't give out until you are in high school.
Nobody is going to hire you probably because your too young, try doing some community service first to put on your resume.
