Vince Lombardi's Packers won Super Bowl II after finishing 9-4-1 during the regular season. I have yet to hear anyone questioning the legitimacy of that championship. Joe Montana won his third Super Bowl with a less-than-stellar 10-6 regular season. NOBODY cares about the regular season when a championship is won.
