It cost that seller about $50 bucks to list the car. You should at least pay his listing fees. It was your mistake.

As far as repercussions, most sellers don't pursue legal action. You will get a negative feedback and a non-paying bidder notification from eBay. Just tell the seller you made a mistake and see if he will relist the car and leave eBay out of it.

In truth, not a lot can really be done to a non paying bidder. The thing you should do is offer the seller enough to cover the fees to relist it plus something for their time. You should have really thought about this BEFORE bidding. You will probably get negative feedback, but that is up to the seller.

well lets see what they can do u u will get a 3,000 dollar fine and 60 to 80 days in jail....lol.....

no but truthfully u shold of done your homework on what u was doing on ebay we as sellers have to pay to list things on there weather it is a car truck game phone the list goes on and it cost us any were from50 cent to 200 hundred plus ..

u should of been more carefull while bidding go ahead and fess up to the seller u are not going to get the car u will recive a strike and a posibilty of suspension of your ebay account.. but thats all from ebay.. now the seller may try to take a breech of contract action on u on his own and try to get at least his sellers fees back.....

be more carefully ebay osnt a joke if a guy said he was going to buy something from u and didnt after u put a couple hundred dllars and time in it and he didnt follow through his end of the deal u would be mad right....

Actually you shouldn't have to pay fro the relisting. First and foremost, contact the seller, let them know you made a mistake and aren't able to pay. They will be able to file a no fault form that will let ebay relist the item for free.
