I need some help with dry skin and soap?
I have dry skin and when I wash with soap, it makes my skin even drier! I have tried both Dove and Caress bar soaps which are both supposably moisturizing bars. Does anyone have any suggestions of another brand that won't dry out my skin???

My skin gets really dry too. Instead of switching soaps, I started using a face lotion called Promise. It not only moisturizes, but it has has sunscreen and reduces redness. I apply every time after I was my face. And since I have been using it for so long, I don't have to use as much as I used too.
But if that doesn't work for you, I think Promise also has a moisturizing wash!
I hope this helped!

I used to only be able to use Dove, but I switched to handmade soap a few years back. Since then I've not had dry tight skin. It has all the good stuff let in it that store soap takes out. It's a bit pricey but well worth the it. Surf for cold processed soap or handmade soap and there's a lot of soap makers out there. Olive Oil as the first ingredient is the best.

Bar soaps are always going to fry out your skin. I only use liquid soap. There are many soaps that have milk, aloe vera, or other ingredients that make your skin not as dry. It could also be the temperature of the water I know that the hotter the water the drier your skin will get.

Soap bars suck. They may say they don't dry out skin but pretty much all do. Try using a sugar scrub before a liquid soap.

I also have dry skin. I have recently started using Mary Kay daily face wash, 3 in 1 for normal to dry skin, and the lotion that goes with it.
I love love LOVE it!

definitely try liquid soap or ask a doctor for advice. Also, try wearing body and face lotion, because it could just be your skin that's dry and its not the soap after all
