This movie was on Discovery Channel and it was about the earth and how it cleansed itself was about as big meteor that hit the Earth and evaporated the ocean and the ocean and never came back for 2000 years they hovered around her curse atmosphere until the earth crust cooled for the life of me I cannot remember the name thank you for your help

Sounds a bit like "Plan 9 from outer space". That would probably be considered a documentary on the discovery channel these days.

know the documentary but can not remember the name either.(pretty sure i will be awake all night thinking about it and it will dawn on me at dawn lol)
check discovery.com or youtube.com- could possibly be there.

email the discovery channel , that's what i do. i email the station it was on. always works.
