How can i recover my password to my laptop.?

I changed my password to my laptop and forgot to write it down.i forgot my password, and i don't want to loose any files on my laptop. how can i get in or reset it?

    You can download ISO images which helps to reset the password. The site itself gives you information on how to reset the password. I have successfully used this utility many times.

    Startup the system in Safe Mode by Pressing F8.

    Select administrator as the user to login..hope your admin doesnt have a password set.
