Does anyone else find it hard to freekin eat healthy if you work out?

I just can't help it! After a good workout or run, my body just craves the most unhealthy foods this earth can offer. I think i can step up my athleticism if I eat healthier foods. and by healthier i dont mean non-fat, sugar-free, atkins, whatever. Anyone know how to deal with this ordeal..?

Eat only when hungry and not more than three times a day. Include plenty of vegetables and fruits in ur food. Eat slow, chewing each morsel at least 32 times. This activates ur body to send signals that u have enough. No snacks or drinks in between except water.

Take light exercises and walking for about 30 min every day preferably twice a day.

Be patient to see the results in hassle free mode in reasonable time.

If u eat slow, even unhealthy food will cause less harm.

you mean comfort foods huh, oh believe me i know, your are going to have to find an healthy alternative to the food you are craving or eat a very small amount..... which is Hadley ever possible. So make you a protein shake immediately after you work out that way you have a tasty healthy snack or try amino acids (capsule supplements), if you are out and about find robeks or jamba juice for a fruit smoothie with a free boost. The only thing that can stop you is you, so good luck their are many alternatives, these are just a couple.

I actually have opposite experiences. After I exercise my appetite is reduced. sometimes I feel hungry and if I stay at home I will eat a lot; but if I go out exercising, I don't feel like eating anymore after that.

I also have an reverse experience. i ate Atkins diet for a while, and after eating it for about two days, i really feel like exercising (before the Atkins diet i feel sleepy a lot of times, especially after meals). you may try to change your diet first. try to eat some delicious meat that you really enjoy and that will reduce your appetite for high-carb food. i found it very difficult to just reduce my craving for junk food, but i approached it from another way: i eat a lot of meat that i really like and after a while (about 3 weeks) I don't crave for junk food anymore.

One more thing: it is hard to eat non-fat and non-sugar at the same time. for atkins diet you have to consume some fat otherwise you will get really sick. If you eat certain amount of fat and vegetable, you will feel satisfied and no long crave for starch or sugar. and i lost a lot of weight by eating like this.

after working out drink as much water as possible. it should keep you full then you can decide what healthy food you should have.

just think unhealthy food will make you more tired and slow you down.

how much unhealthy food are you eating at the moment? you need to work to stop yourself from craving it. that is done by having a bit, stopping and going a few days without eating it.

then look at fatter people..they are usually more jolly. look at saint nick (santa) and that fat guy in pinochio

find great tasting food that is healthy and carry it in your bag! Akins has veggie sticks to go with turkey sandwiches....vanilla yogurt is great with anything.....banana pancakes w yogurt.....turkey bacon 65 % lean is awesome...turkey ground italian style at some reasors....i buy skinless chicken breasts...roll them in olive oil and crushed raisin bran and bake on 375 for 45 minutes or so....so efin great! and braums has fat free milk that doesnt taste fat free....i hated it until i had theirs...it is condensed....for your electrolyte replacement, dont drink gatorade, too much sugar,,have coconut water, it is practically clear in color, and delicious.....and drink a glass of water before you splurge, you will get fuller faster....bran ceral for breakfast for fiber ....use honey on stuff.......the good granola bars at health food stores....peanut butter, etc....tantalize your taste buds with coconut milk and pineapple drink..pure juice at reasors and health food store(cheaper at reasors)....and buy veggie trays...so worth it, they make me eat more veggies when my husband puts it in front of me..i eat it!

The key is train your taste buds with things like these!
