The youtube piece is a spoof that is meant to get people who are Christian and others who are against homosexuality to see how it feels to be talked about a certain way and to point out the absurdity of looking for a single gene that regulates a complex behavior (like being a Christian or being gay). Scientists have tried to find a "gay gene" in the past - it has been very controversial - so this seems to be a response to that.

If you find something like that in the future, a good way to determine if something is a hoax is to do a search on the internet at a reputable site. For example, a search at google news yields one result - and that one indicated that the "christian gene" was "satire" - kind of like a parody (a work that is intended to poke fun or mock something). There were no other hits - it wasn't in any of the major newspapers or news outlets. That would help you to know that this is not a true news story.
