Is there a way to make an Alka Seltzer rocket without a film canister?
I want to do a program for kids and build Alka-Seltzer rockets. The traditional way is to use clear (Fuji-Film) film canisters, put water and some Alka Seltzer inside. As the pressure builds up, the film cannister blows apart and "launches" the film canister rocket.
No one uses real film anymore, though. Does anyone have suggestions to make a rocket with something other than a film cannister?

only thing I can think of is a perscription pill bottle , the small plastic ones with the snap of lid ,

Yes, you can make it by putting it in a not flimsy but light enough to have it fly like rocket.
