My Dell 926 AIO printer doesn't recognize..?

I just refilled my ink cartridges for my Dell 926 and it is printing great. My only issue is that the printer doesn't recognize that the cartridges have been refilled. The ink-indicator still shows that the cartridges are still empty. I have already done the maintenance of cleaning and aligning with it too.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

There is a certain way to do this and it has to do with the little copper contacts on the back of the ink cartridge. I'm not sure about your certain one, but I refill my HP 21 ink cartridge with a home kit and it instructs me to put a piece of tape over some of the copper contacts (the little dots on the back of the cartridge) and insert it into the printer, then pull it out and continue with some other contacts and this way the printer and computer will recognize that the cartridge is full. I'm not sure about your specific one. Try looking up on their site because I can't find a manual on how to do yours without knowing the cartridge name.

EDIT: Okay, well, I tried to look it up and all I found was that "Due to the Dell programming feature in these newer printers, the printer will recognize these refilled cartridges as 1/2 empty, near empty or empty. Ignore this warning and print for normal life." It says so right here: http://cgi.ebay.com/2pk--DELL-MK990-MK992--black-S... , in the red color.

The ink levels are estimates only.

There is not a way to reset the dell printers, yet (someone will probably figure it out).

If you know there is ink in there, why worry. When the quality drops then worry about replacing or refilling it.
