If you have access to a phone, you can just dial the number and you'll be connected...that's if the phone line has international service. If it doesn't you may not be able to get through...or if it does let you through, you may be charged a fortune for making an international call without having an international calling plan. Best bet would be to go and buy an international phone card at your local convenience store and follow the instructions on the back of the card to place your call....usually involves entering a PIN # and dialing some toll-free number before you dial the actual number. Third option is to call someone from your computer. Download software like Skype (www.skype.com) and install on your computer. You'll need to buy credit if you want to call a land line in England...BUT...if your friend in the UK has a computer as well, she can install Skype as well and you can talk computer to computer for free. Of course, both of you need to have a headset with mic so you can talk.
