Too figuratively..I always want there to be a hidden message, something deeper in what is being said. More than ever though, I am realizing that most of what people say isn't outloud, it's through their actions.

I get defensive pretty easily so I'd probably say that I can take things too literally.

The Bible is produced from historic past, poetry, prophecy and parables. Poetry with its flowing analogies is the main in all risk to be taken figuratively. yet historic past and prophecy must be understood greater actually. The parables may be the two, yet context oftentimes qualifies their literal or figurative interpretation.

I tend to take them too literally. I speak pretty literally myself, and am often surprised when people say, "You didn't think I was serious, did you?"

I try not to take anything out of context. I like to think that I take things the way they were intended.
