I've been trying to find how to solve this system for hours with no luck, help please!
Given the linear system:
dx/dy = x-2y
dy/dt = z+4y
dz/dt = z
a) Find the general solution
b)Find the solution for the initial condition Y(0)=(-1,-1,-1)T

2 days and no responses...should work it with matrices but it is easier to type by solving for z , then y ,& finally x.....
z= c1 e^t....
y = c2 e^(4t) -c1 [1/3] e^t....
x = c3 e^t + c2 [1/3] e^(4t) - c1 [2/3] t e^t
b)c3 = -5 / 9 , c2 = - 4 / 3 , c1 = -1
