Once The Goals Of Socialism Are Accomplished, What is Next?

I believe if world socialism took over we would go into another dark ages until eventually something else emerges.

Without incentives and the human need to grow there would be no progress or need to change.

Whether you have Theocracy Socialism,Communism Dictatorship, it squelches the human spirit if it was not for oil in the middle east most of the people in that part of the world would still be living in the 14th century. With socialism you will eventually end up spreading the misery to everyone equally except for the people in charge of course.

The end of life as a Free people ! What these ignorant lemmings don`t realize is the fact that Socialism is the embryo from the Communist seed !! The joke will be on the left wing liberal socialist lemming loons as they will no longer be able to ***** , moan , and whine about all that is wrong with America ! They will have their dream of absolute "political correctness", and they will be the "corrected" ! Then the left leaning loons can can prepare for the conflict of lifestyles with Islam ! Oh what a tangled web the liberal socialist have spun for themselves ! So they better get used to their new lifestyle as "Serfs" & "Lackeys", as they will find themselves smack dab in the middle of "Feudalism" , and the "Dark Ages" ; and their motto won`t be God Bless America , it will be " Abandon Hope All Ye` Who Enter Here " !

I would like to sell my business. I am getting tired of it and I want instead of working a day or two like I am now in the NICU to work full-time in the NICU. The only reason I've been keeping this business going is because my dad passed it on to me. And now, I really don't want it anymore.

The final goal will most definitely be Communism if the wrong people are voted into office and That is a fact!!!!!!!!!!!!

Socialism has never and will never achieve its goals because it is not about goals, it is about process. Its “goals” are like a destination that cannot be reached, so its “leaders” must shift the focus from the destination to the journey to get there. Socialism is fatally flawed because it is a collective ideology and runs counter to the concept of individual freedom. It is necessarily repressive and intolerant of dissent because anyone who opposes it opposes the “common good” and must be silenced. A socialistic society is contradictory to democracy because it is governed by a collective “will” determined by its leaders, not a collective will that determines who those leaders are.

The bourgeois is the bourgeois. Its members may sit in the boardrooms of Wall Street or in the conference rooms of Washington, D.C., but they are still the bourgeois.

The truth of this will be apparent when those who favor a socialist society have this post deleted. They will avail themselves of Yahoo’s auto-delete function because those who oppose their view of what constitutes a just society are opposed to the “common good” and must be silenced.

UPDATE for Beren: Obama's Plan for America says, "“Obama’s plan places key emphasis at (sic) early care and education for infants.” Given that his "Plan" addresses many needs of infants, pre-schoolers, K1-12 education, working people's needs, the needs of the disabled and the elderly, ETC., isn't he talking about Socialism (with a capital "S")? Are you going to now say his "Plan" doesn't count because you have not put him "in power" yet?

I am more concerned with a national leadership that seems bent on heading towards Feudalism. Taxing the middle class out of existence, making higher education for difficult to attain, removing transparency and public debate from government business

Marx and Lenin both stated that the eventual evolutionary goal of socialism is communism, but I am sure that devout socialists will argue otherwise.

Can you imagine what kind of transportation you won't be able to enjoy?

We will all be equal when everyone on earth (except the elites) has the same low standard of living, the same number of children, the same block-house and the same poor health.

I was not aware anybody in power is trying to accomplish any goals of socialism. Please give specific examples to back up your point. BTW, the healthcare proposals being kicked around are not socialized medicine. Socialized medicine means the government would own the hospitals, employee the doctors...etc. So you will have to come up with another example besides that.

I won't hold my breath waiting for examples.
