Here in the UK you can buy an iPhone from the o2 store and you don't sign a contract. You take the phone home and sign-up online.
Is that the same in germany?

No I wish! O2 Does not sell it. T-Com does. Its about 900 Euros for the phone, about 50 (Min.) a month for the bill, and then what ever you add to it (Calls, Internet, SMS and so on). Its crazy expensive here. I didnt know O2 was in the UK... Hope I helped! :D And have fun iPhone(ing)
