Question for Journalists?

o What do you consider to be the three most important elements of a successful newspaper article? Please explain your three choices.

o If you could read only one section of your local newspaper each day, which section would it be (front page, life/times, sports, local news, etc.)?

o How important are images/graphics to the overall appeal of a newspaper? Can a newspaper be successful without images/graphics to support the news articles?

    1) Relevance. If its not relevant to a theme in the newspaper, then its useless.

2)Grammar. If the article is full of errors, people will not take your article seriously.

3)Accuracy. It's extremely important. Especially if you're going to be reporting something that people will not like.

If I only had one section...eh. Editorial. My Editorial staff rocks, so I'm a bit partial.

Images & Graphics are essential. Unless you're trying to reach a specific audience that already knows much about the topic, then relevant and high quality graphics are a must.
