I have enough drama in my own life!
Don't you find that watching someone else's misery, depressing?
what is up with all of these kinds of programs being thrown at us now?
Your thoughts???

they are as "realistic" as martian invasions. no one is starving to death, no one is lost in the jungle, etc. i don't hate them, "hate" is nowhere near a strong enough word. i forking ABHOR them.

They are giving a picture of reality that is as bad as, if not worse than what we see every day! And don't forget, it's only one director, or one team's view of reality... why let them be the arbiters of what constitutes reality?
Of course... it's your perogative... you don't have to watch the BS in the first place... put on the Discovery channel or better still get away from the TV and hire something you do want to watch!

I only watch the fun based ones not the ones where people get angry at each other and fight. Like Meerkat Manor, American Idol and Jon & Kate + 8. We got more this winter because of the writer's strike. They had to fill the air waves with something!

True, but someone like Susan Boyle, who appeared on Britain's got talent a few years ago, was not very attractive- was and still is very popular.

I used to despise reality shows but caught one episode of something and have liked them since. Some of them are certainly interesting. And it's good to see someone else's life is screwed up for a change; my life ain't the only one that's going to the dogs.

Garbage television. I'd toss the t.v out the window, but I like a few(very few) programs on the thing. Most shows really do try to insult one's intelligence.

Now a days 65% of what's on television is reality. Honestly I have a life so I dont need to watch other peoples, plus reality shows slowly dumb you down.

To my mind ,they are a perfect way for people to get lessons in nit picking (as if most people needed these lessons)and back biting ,very competitive in everything.Life is not supposed to be anything like that so where the description (reality)comes from is is beyond me.

YES, Personally think they are stupid and have nothing to with real life and they are strictly fictitious. YES, I find them
depressing watching someone Else's misery.I think they should cancel all of them.

I agree with you! I don't like them either. I got my fill of reality tv on 9/11. That's reality, not those so called reality tv shows...
