Missing installation package for Acrobat Reader...can't update or delete program...suggestions?

Running Windows XP....Adobe updates to Acrobat are pushed out to computer but install fails because there is no existing installation package. Cannot remove Acrobat for the same reason to reinstall.

BTW: the current installation works fine, it is simply annoying to always get these updates that cannot install.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks.

Uninstall Acrobat Reader, re-boot, make a restore point (just in case), and re-install Acrobat Reader.

If you can't uninstall, CCleaner also has an uninstall option you could try.

Here's the latest version of Adobe Reader:

    Yes, I had that too.

Uninstall the version you have, and then download and install the latest version, 8.1.2.
