Can I be pregnant and still have a regular period?
I have just had my regular period, but I have a lot of other symptoms. I throw up a lot, I feel a weight on my stomach when I lay down, I'm more tired than usual, and I feel like there is something there. My boyfriend doesn't think I'm pregnant but I really think I am. I also have had a positive test.

You shouldn't. Some women spot (bleed just a bit), but your period is in fact the uterus lining being recycled so that it can be replenished and kept ready for a new egg. If you're bleeding, your embryo basically loses its home.

You cant have your period when your preg, darlin. :) Not a full on period. spotting is something totally different. Also you wouldn't feel a weight in your belly yet. Way to early for that.
However, with you having a positive test I would suggest going in to get a blood test. That should give you a clear answer!

"Well, no, you can't get your period once you're pregnant — once your body starts producing the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and your pregnancy is established, your menstrual cycle is interrupted and normal periods stop. But you may have bleeding or spotting during pregnancy that can seem like a period.
Some pregnant women have what's called "implantation bleeding" that can happen around the time their period is due, and they may mistake that bleeding for a period. This spotting may be caused by the fertilized egg burrowing into the blood-rich lining of the uterus, a process that starts just 6 days after fertilization, and it's generally a lot lighter than a typical period — just a day or two of very light spotting. Yes - it's not common but some women continue to menstruate throughout pregnancy - and if you have had a positive test, then I'd say you were definitely pregnant. Go see your doctor asap, though, he may want to test again, or do an early ultrasound to be certain everything is ok - and to rule out any nasties like an ectopic pregnancy. He will be able to answer any concerns you have, and explain the menstruation thing better than I can.

It has happened to alot of women.
Have you taken a test? If you get a negative, and you still feel like you are go to the doc and get a blood test.
You could have also been pregnant and had an early miscarriage. That's what happened to me. I was 5 days late got my so i thought my period, but this was very heavey and had allot of clots, in it, and lasted a few days more then a normal period. and i had a positive test

If you had a positive test you should call your OB/GYN and make an appointment. Some people in rare cases do continue to have a period but that is very rare. Your doctor will be able to tell with out a doubt if you are or not. Don't take a chance with your health see you doctor immediately!

I think it's normal to have implanting bleeding, which should be a light period. It is normal to have that right in the beginning of pregnancy. If you have a positive pregnancy test you should make a visit to your ob/gyn. They will be able to tell you for sure if you are prego or not.
