How come my engine light comes on whenever I reach 50mph?

Anything under 50 mph it stays off. Is it because it is an older car. (1995)

    most sensors are activated at 75mph some are at 50mph so yeah go to autozone they can do the free car check and tell you what is wrong

    The computer is recording a malfunction of some type. Best get that checked before real damage occurs.

    Read your OBD-I error codes out manually and look them up below to diagnose the problem.
