Would you still hit the "Report It" button if the information was made public for all to see?
No more hiding in the shadows and having people terminated for senseless reasons. One the screen with all of the other points and stars information, would be another section that lists all of the questions that you hit the button on. The person you reported would be sent an email as to exactly who reported them and why. I think it time to level the playing field. Make it a fair fight.
Pickles, everyone who answers get a TU from me. I just offset the trolls TD you got.

I never report people, but my best friend has been reported like 3 times(by the same person) just because they didn't like her.
How rude!
But I'm a good girl, so I don't report people(It's just the way they are)
And I do think reporting should be made public for everyone to see.
It's a fight to see who's good and who's evil!!!

Yep!!!! "Report it" is meant to protect people from vicious and possibly harmful things by others, not to mention that there are minors who sometimes get on here and could be hurt by somebody. Internet stalking is a serious thing and needs to be reported whenever it is found. There are safeguards in place for people to defend being terminated for no reason or for senseless reasons, you just have to use them.

I'll have to agree with you there Client. At least it might make people think twice before they do "Report".
I just don't get it. I too have never reported or even given a thumbs down. If something isn't to my liking, I just move on to something else. I guess there are just some people that aren't happy unless their little devious pea-brains causes them to be spiteful and malicious.
Such a waste of time and effort.

Why? Did you get reported? Sounds like you did and maybe still a little "bothered" by it. I mean why do you even need to know who reports you? What's the purpose and what do you plan on doing when you find out who it was that reported you. E-Mail them LMFAO it's not that deep. I can understand if you did nothing to deserve then Yahoo needs to do I guess some sort of "investigation" before booting you.

Reporting sucks, I'd love to see who are the reports for my violations. Clearly people with no sense of humour. Perhaps they should have a humour rating button on accounts

It would be nice to know if someone was targeting you, but I don't know if I would want to know their name. It would piss me off way too much and I wouldn't have fun anymore because I would become obsessed with the ones who reported me. I do think that the reporting has gotten out of hand.

I will hit that report button for the following type of questions:
1. Racist in nature like that of Vivi Jones questions
2. Naked/Offensive avatars
3. trolls like that Ask Jeff (stupid weather questions in barow, alaska)
4. offensive/insulting answers
That's it. I will never be afraid to let the abuser know that he's gone overboard with his question or answer. That means, only when NECESSARY!
Edit: Your question jogged my brain! teehee! it made me think seriously for a few minutes here.
An after thought to my answer, trolls will always be trolls. The Report button will ALWAYS be abused. If you're an unlucky target, they will just make multiple accounts intended for abusing that button and reporting anyone on their whim. It will never matter to them whether they, the violated person, will know who reported them or not. F@k the effin trolls! I've got some friends here who are victims of such abuse. aNa is one, so is Dawna, and Audi! :[

The way to avoid that is to submit questions and answers that fall within the way of thinking that all Yahoo employees believe, in other words give up your personal beliefs and opinions and become a tru Communist, then you will be fine.

I don't report anyone I think of this forum as having all the amendments that I have including free speech

i don't think that would fix much of anything- next someone would say people who are reported need to type up justifications for the things that got them reported... it all seems kind of childish that people get all ballsy just because they are separated through the comp. we should all just do on to others as we'd have them do on to us and not sweat the ***** who never learned "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"
