Top Contributors that hide their answers?
I think that if someone is a "Top Contributor" that they shouldn't be allowed to make their answers private. Or if they want their answers private, that the "Top Contributor" label should be hidden also.
I enjoy reading the answers of these people, and somehow when I see that their answers are private, it makes me wonder what kind of answers these top contributors are providing...
Thanks for your insights on this. It's sad that the people that have so much good to contribute have to protect their accounts from other people who ruin this wonderful forum for everyone.
I really do like reading the top contributors answers. It's so nice reading well reasoned answers that are helpful. It gets so tiresome reading angry answers, or answers that belittle the person asking the question.
Is the reporting process that automated that Yahoo would delete perfectly good answers for no reason?

Sometimes Top Contributor badges are like "targets" for people to go report all of their questions and answers and get them suspended because they are jealous of them or disagree with them and do it out of spite.

I've only had mine on private for about 3 weeks. I have had a lot of trouble from trolls. Unfortunately its not doing a lot to help me and I might have to go totally private, which I really don't want to do. It has taken me a long time to get to level 7 and I don't want to lose it because someone without anything better to do repeatedly pushes the report button.

Top contributors are more vunerable to trolls and are sometimes known as a target to trolls.
That is why they have it private.
And if they work that hard for the Top contibutor badge then they should have the right to chooseif they want it private or not.

Many TCs hide them, as a way of slowing down trolls who file bogus abuse reports. I would like to see what many have to offer, but i can sympathize with their need to remain here and not get kicked off for fallacious reasons

TC folks do that in order to avoid the prying eyes of trolls.

Top Contributors (including me), who hide their profiles are just making sure that they are protected from trolls. They are just being protective of their account so that they won't lose what they have worked hard for.
