Is anyone else in here, very creeped out by the show "Meet the Duggar's"?

cmon, 19 people wearing red tops and dark blue jeans or jean skirts, all with names starting with "J".

A rediculous view on having children. 17 kids, too much.

Hair parted to the side weird.

creepy mormonish attitudes and a phoney, "we are the perfect family" attitude.

What do you think?

Do you like em or hate em?

Yes... very strange dad in particular. Their attitude about "if God wants us to have children then we'll have them," but when Mama Dugger needed a C-section to give birth, they didn't have any problem interfering with "God's will" then. I also feel incredibly sorry for the girls in particular, being raised to believe that the only thing they're good for is their ability to pop kids out every year or two. What happens if all 19 of the kids have 19 each???? That's close to 400 grandkids!!!!

Totally creepy family, and getting creepier all the time. Wonder how many of those kids will end up in therapy or on the public dole inside 10 years?

They aren't Mormon, though - they're some flavor of "hard-shell" Baptist (as my granny would have called them). Fundies to the core, and crazy as bedbugs.

I've met Jim Bob Duggar and the Duggar tribe. I'll admit that they creep me out on multiple levels. I'm a Christian, and their beliefs are very different from my own (which is the least creepy thing about them, since all Christians can't be expected to think exactly alike). However, I don't wish them any ill will, and the kids seem genuinely nice.

I'm not creeped out by the Duggars. I think it's great to see a family that is so obviously loving and self-sacrificing. Historically, this is the size that families have been.

Organizationally, having this many children is insane. But being willing to give up on the frills of life makes it work.

I wouldn't mind being a Duggar. They know they're not perfect, but they love each other in spite of it.

I have no religious denomination... I believe it god and am very religious in my own way...

I did see the show and I was impressed on one hand with the whole orderly way the household was ran... the buddy system... The well behaved children... The family runs like a well oiled machine... no chaos considering the crazy amount of children

On the other hand I felt somewhat horrified at the whole situation... The mother with the sweet little voice.... who truly seems to good to be true... "Jessa sweetie help Jonah... honey"... Give me a break... And the clothing... WTF(???) and how in the world can they afford to feed and house all those children(???)

Very mixed feeling on that family... Strange to me and not remotely close to my lifestyle but to each there own...

it seems a little strange, and a little fake. like they're all trying too hard to be the perfect family. and i think 17 kids is simply too much for two parents to raise. that's a one parent for 8.5 kids, and if that family were a day care, it would be illegal in some states.

how much contact do those kids get with their parents? i doubt it's enough. on their family website it says kids have to sign up for one-on-one time with their parents ... not good.

Humans were designed to have children, not litters.

It weirds me out a bit, too. Especially with the similar clothings and the perfect personality.

They seem like a nice family, but I'd be really... hm. I'd be really awkward feeling if I met them in person.

Plus the similar names? A bit too odd for my liking. Give a kid an individuality.

Should have been called "Meet the Breeders". If it wasn't for those hefty IRS tax deductions they get per child, I can guarantee God would have suddenly mentioned to Mr. Duggar in a dream about getting a holy vasectomy.

    I love them...

and how can you call them phony? Do you actually think that they can get 17 kids to all be phony at the same time, every time? I don't think so. The key to that life going great is terrific planning, wonderful morals and upbringing, and a whole lot of love.

And as for the clothes.. I am pretty sure it has a couple of uses... like not having to shop for a million hours (same shirt in every size), group discounts, and being able to spot you in the crowd. If you ask me, that's pretty smart.

I think it is amazing that they can have so many children and be able to take care of them..the children are well behaved when they go out in public, unlike some kids i see at the store or restaurant who can't seem to sit still, eat,or be quiet, or even listen to what their parents tell them..i don't hate them at all....I admire them and their ability to raise so many children and take care of them and are not on government aide...

i'm no longer a Beatles fan, and that i do no longer locate no longer something offensive approximately that song or them lines in any respect. He grew to become into basically making a fact approximately himself, or possibly even somebody else, that hit their woman be it a girl pal or spouse, which sorry to assert did take place greater generally back then than it does to day, I could say it got here approximately back then as much because it does to day, yet grew to become into excepted as in, human beings did no longer communicate approximately it that a lot. And all Lennon did grew to become into convey it to the leading element, to permit human beings be responsive to what is going on contained in the international, and no person is doing something approximately it. yet he or the guy of their song is doing something approximately it, as he's stopped beating the lady and issues are transforming into better. i do no longer see no longer something incorrect with that for the period of any respect. i think of in keeping with probability you're going overboard somewhat with the song. So i assume you do in contrast to Hendrix taking photos his old woman and working off to Mexico. I wager she grew to become into crushed many circumstances, in the previous she grew to become into shot. Or the Rolling Stones, making a song approximately how stupid woman, a positioned down on all women persons, and that they have got been ineffective. yet that's no longer the case. One consistently has to bear in mind contained in the 50s it grew to become into alright generic that men beat their woman, lady pal/spouse, and it additionally grew to become into actual into the 60s, while human beings like the Beatles extra it to the leading element. so as a song is going, this is an incredible song, for this is open to what grew to become into taking place on the time, and that it is likewise time to alter issues and make it better. If i grew to become into stricken by making use of that song for that verse on my own, then i may be stricken by making use of over have the songs in my sequence. i'm comfortable with that. reason all this is doing is telling me issues like that have been given to resign, and we could start to make issues better. wherein case he's doing. take care dave
