Which WR will allow Philly to win SB 43?
I think its Devin Thomas, but the rookie Wideout in a WCO is a valid argument. I cant imagine us trading for a veteran although i dream of it. I wish McNabb got the weapons he deserved, and Romo should lose his, lol

First off i am a huge Eagles fan. and unfortunatly i don't think philly has very good wide recievers. If we get to the super bowl it will be because of Westbrook, our defence, and hopefully mcnabb making the best of a bad situation.

Drafting a rookie is not the answer if we're planning on competing right now. Rookies very rarely are productive their first season, and most take upwards of 3 years to fully develop. If the Eagles plan on competing for a SB this year, they need to strike a deal to bring in a proven, elite receiver. However, that is mostly wishful thinking....
That being said, anyone who thinks this team is not a playoff caliber team is grossly misinformed. For starters, they played the hardest schedule in the NFL last year. They had an opponents strength of schedule of .563. That's ridiculous. They played 11 games against teams that finished .500 or better, and they played 9 games against playoff teams. They played another 3 games against teams that finished 7-9. Despite all of this, they managed to finish at .500.... oh, and I haven't even mentioned that they had injuries to practically all of their perennial pro bowlers and their top red zone target (LJ Smith), had the distractions of Reid's kids, and lost 5 games by under 5 points, with 4 of those losses coming against playoff teams - one against the Super Bowl Champs, one to the team that finished the regular season 16-0, and the other two were against division winners. This team was not far out of the playoffs, and if you think they can't compete in the NFC East, you don't know much about the division or its history. The NFC East has been the Eagles' division for 5 of the last 7 years.
The Eagles have a much better schedule this season, and they have done nothing but improve this offseason. With a healthy season, there is no reason why this team does not make the playoffs. Having a receiver would obviously greatly help them out, but as they've shown over the years, the Eagles can win games without talent at the position. Don't forget.... we won the division for 4 years in a row throwing to the likes of Todd Pinkston and James Thrash. Finally, look at their offense from last year.... believe it or not, we finished 6th overall in yards.... 6th! The all-powerful Cowboys offense finished 4th, gaining only 122 yards more than us on the season. The Giants and Redskins finished 15th and 16th, roughly 400 yards behind us. Even our passing offense was in the top 10 of the league in yards. Our problem wasn't getting yards. It wasn't getting blown out by offenses. It was getting the ball in the endzone on offense and not forcing turnovers on defense. We added Samuel to correct one of these problems. The other needs to be done by adding an elite WR to give McNabb a safety blanket in the endzone, or by making more creative plays.
So to ultimately answer your question, unless we can get a guy like Chad Johnson, I don't see the WR making or breaking the team. Perhaps a rookie can come in and contribute 800 yards and a few TD's, but I don't think anyone in this draft class will be a miracle worker. Even without a WR, I think we'll be a good team. I don't know that we will win the division or make the super bowl, but I am fully anticipating a playoff spot.

Donovan McNabb's top 2 targets on this team are Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis. I don't how this team can turn into a Super Bowl contender when its top 2 wideouts were drafted after the 2nd round or went undrafted. I will feel so happy for Donovan if he can get this team to soar like eagles and win Super Bowl XLIII next season.

Which WR will alow the Eagles to win the Super Bowl? There's one solution to that immediate problem and his name is Chad Johnson. He wants out of Cincy and the Eagles should help him. He is a great WR who could automatically boost them near the top of the division. I think McNabb is the 3rd best QB in the league when healthy but he only has about 2 or 3 years left. They need production now. They aren't getting it from LJ Smith or Reggie Brown.... They need Ocho Cinco.... But that won't happen so I think it's probably either Devin Thomas or Malcom Kelly, both of which will not catapult Philly they way you think, it will take at least 2 years for them to dominate they way Philly needs them to. Westbrook has to play his butt off and the O-Line can't falter.

Haha I agree with the guy above me... sweetie did u forget the SHEAGLES are in the NFC EAST?? U swear its gng to be an easy ride... the competition is tough in the east... had the eagles been part of the NFC South maybe theyd have a shot... but not in the EAST.. n either way i cant even think of a calibur WR out of Philly except Owens and hes with Dallas now...
U guys think with Asante Samuels your headed to the SB now..((ive heard Eagles fans whine about how great they are now that they got Samuels))... i know hes not a WR but sorry my dear its gng to take alot more than a WR to get u guys a lombardi... sorry to say.. youll still be the joke of the NFC EAST.. no Lombardis...

Funny because it seems like McNabb had the very same weapon, only younger in TO. Also had Stallworth... still has the best pass catching back in the game in Westbrook.
Thomas has potential but McNabb is fast approaching the point where he can't carry the Eagles.

I don't think they will win a superbowl until they get better WRs.
But if I had to pick one, I would say Kevin Curtis. He is a good receiver and he runs hid routes like a true pro-bowler.
Another one would be Reggie Brown. He is not as good as Curtis, But I just like him. I thought it was funny when he caught that pass and jumped in the giant salvation army bucket when he went out of bounds.

First, worry about about knocking off the DEFENDING Super Bowl champions, who play in your division, and the DEFENDING NFC #1 seed, also in your division, then I will give dap to your receivers. I just don't think Philly has the talent (or the desire to pay to bring in that one guy) to win more that 6 games this year, hense, no playoffs or title for the City of Philadelphia. Your best bet right now is to don a Flyers jersey and hope for the best on that front.

You think the eagles are a wideout away from the superbowl?
Well, you better hope Jesus comes back to earth as a reciever.

They wont win any Super Bowl with Donavan McFAGG. stop looking on the other side of the rainbow and look at the cold, hard truth.
