Is McCain too old to be doing this?

While I have nothing against age, I have my limits on on how old is too old to be representing everyone. Will this old man represent what everyone thinks properly, not just assume that the 30-80 year olds all know what is best? I just ain't sure about this old fellow in control.

Thank you for your time and answer.

Nah. You can easily turn it around and ask if a 50 year old can represent the interests of 20 and 80 year olds. Or if a man can represent the interests of women. Any president has to represent people who are different from him.

Given his wellbeing and obvious psychological ability, the right question is what can he do? Strom Thurmond stayed in the Senate till he replaced into purely approximately a hundred, and his final years have been those of a zombie. Reagan in his 2nd term replaced into tormented by the early tiers of Alzheimer's. i've got be attentive to older people in top psychological shape. i've got accepted 50 years that seem out to lunch. (includes me at cases.) The activity needs a lively individual. McCain could have been ok if he'd gained in 2000. His time is previous.

How old is too old? When I was 10, 20 was old. When I was 20, 30 was old and so on. Now that I'm pushing 60, 90 is old. It's all about perception. I know people in their 70's and 80's who are healthier and have more common sense than some people less than half their age.

  • According to the calculator I found, life expectancy for males born in 1935 (like McCain) is 64.35 years, with 10% living past 74 years.

McCain is doing better than average already, and he's not even elected yet.

The fact that he is old should make no difference, because after all most senior citizens don't trust him either.

What does make him deplorable is the fact that he laughs, and gets great joy while thinking about bombing smaller nations and watching the innocent civilians getting killed and permanently maimed.

Just look at this video and see the way he jokes about bombing Iran.

He's too old. Not only that, he's too much like Bush on the war and the economy. I'd rather take my chances on a woman or inexperienced black man given the choices we have this time around.

I'm not a supporter of his but no he's not to old. The only age requirement needed to run for the presidency is that you have to be at least 35 years old.

I do not believe he is too old, if I am not mistaken (which if I am I am sure I will be told ), Ronald Reagan , one of the best Presidents ever, was 70 when elected (went out at 78). McCain is 71 so I say No, not too old.
