First thing to do is learn all about the company.

Then think about how you share their values. Think about how you would benefit them. Forget the being pregnant.
Stress will be dependable. Give examples. Will use 'reliable transportation' to be there everyday at least 15 minutes before scheduled to insure you won't cause other team members to be waiting for you. Stress accuracy and it's importance. Recognize that failing to properly ring up a $1.00 item everyday you worked could cost the company $200 per year and that could be costly for them. Be knowledgeable about their products. Be sure you know how to count back change without a machines assistance.
And I'm sorry but they don't want to hear your problems as a rule. The fact that you are pregnant and have bills is not something you want to tell most of the time. Most places want to know how you will benefit them. Not how they will benefit you.
And SMILE! You want to present a friendly face. That is more important than anything to me when hiring.

I would go to the Whole Foods website and learn everything I could about the company, so that not only will you be able to ask questions, but so that you are 100% informed about company policy, etc.
You have to be personable to be a cashier..alot of people can be rude, etc..you have to be able to handle it with a smile..dress nicely, make sure when you fill out your application that you look it over so that you have no spelling mistakes..good luck, I wish you well.

Dependable - early or on time, never late; reliable transportation; trustworthy.
Friendly - good at customer service; greats every customer with a smile; knows how to handle rude customers.
Hard working - goes the extra mile; self-starter: looks for or invents new tasks when done with assigned tasks.
General - doesn't use slang or profanity (professionalism); tidy appearance; able to communicate with customers/co-workers well; math skills - can count back change w/o relying on computer or calculator.
