They invented glass, pottery, paper, improved writing which influenced writing as we know it today, influenced Greek sculptures which we admire even today, they had morphine, tylenol, and honey which cured infections, they created the first structures (that are still standing), they were the first to have documents about religion, they were the first to explore medicine (wiki Imhotep), they were incredibly rich and were more skilled in metal working than any other ancient civilization.

I could go on but I don't think I have to. Many of the things we have today they had and sometime we find tools that we don't even know what they were for. Our technology has to catch up to theirs. They basically rocked and their societies were similar to ours.

World powers had fought over Egypt since the ancient time. The Persians had invaded it, so did the Greek (during the time of Alexander), Romans, Arabs, Turks, The Crusaders tried 3 times but failed, the French (during the time of Napoleon), & the British.

Egypt was rich, & have a strategic location. It became part of the history of many nations.
