how do you connect garter belts to the hose?

It is kind of hard to explain (just by words and without showing you), but you take the edge of the nylon and place it over the round part of the fastener, then slide the "hook" over that, and up, so the edge of the hose is "stuck" in between the two.

I couldn't find a close-up detailed picture of the fastener, but here is a pic of a garter belt at least, to make sure we are talking about the same thing.

there should be clips on the garter belt, if it is a real garter belt and not one of those ones brides wear at weddings.

well some have clips some dont

you might have bought the wrong ones.... mine had three straps on each leg with a little clip with a bow hiding them
