I've used the supertech Synthetic for awhile now, for the price you cant go wrong. I am a true fan of valvoline and had never pushed the synthetic, until I tried the super-tech. I do however add 1 qt Lucas oil stab. to every change. I run 4,000 miles between changes, my oil when changed is usually dark brown, and not broken down.
What ever you do stay away from Penzoil, when I worked at a Penz. lube center, the oil would come out like black water at 3,000 and black tar if your dared drive 6,000.
Source(s): Wal-mart doesnt manufacturer their own oil, so it is a private lable for Texaco/Havoline, meets all the ANSI standards, at a price equal to some of the leading conventional. You can't go wrong with it. - Anonymous1 decade ago
I've seen some test made with the Lucas oil stabilizer and this stuff is not as good as they say... Only the supertech synthetic oil would do the job.
