My mum had 1 when i was young and i have found a similar 1 on utube but anymore would be great i want to show my daughter. I remember my mum's being blue on outside and sure it had an opening at bottom of dryer part at bottom for water to drain into bowl/bucket

I haven't got any pics. but try looking for the brand names;
Hotpoint Supertwin, Hoover, Indesit, and Servis.
They all made twintub machines, and I was still using a Hotpoint Supertwin until Spring 2007! but I got lazy and invested in a Zanussi automatic instead.
The twintub didn't use anywhere near as much water, got things much cleaner, and in a straight run through, I could wash a lot more clothes in a lot less time with the twintub!

Twin tubs are being made and sold again, even Argos has them, why not nip along to your nearest large store and take a few pix? (If in doubt, google 'Twin tub washing machines)...
