no i dont think you should take it back because you said if there were two dresses you would buy one for her but there was only one so theres nothing wrong with that but you must tell her that you got the dress.

You should have told her the truth. Just tell her the truth when you get a chance. The dress was meant for you anyways. there was only one left and it was in YOUR size. Plus, it is tacky to have the same dress as your friend. The truth will set you free. and you don't have to hide the dress from her. it is better for her to know than to catch you wearing the dress she wanted.
