Have you ever had an internet only relationship?
I mean you never met the other person and if you didn't why did you break up?

Many times...those are called chat buddies (they can never be anything more, until you get together offline).

Yes. It was fun at first, but when she started to call me at home and sending me her letters to my work, then that's when I had to break it off. I was astonished to find out how she got that information, I guess by doing research the Internet can provide just about everything. I was honest up front with where I lived and that is how she found out. Despite her good and I mean good looks and personality, I did not want to take a chance with someone that will go to the extreme to find out about me without my authorization.

I know I'm a jaded one. At best, I call my internet only relationships acquaintances. I've always felt [since before the World Wide Web was the World Wide Web] that people lie. I inherently don't trust anyone unless I know them in person first.

I wouldn't really call it a relationship
Lots of times on the internet people get chatting and then it just fizzles out in time
Easy come - easy go!!!
Its just 'dabbling' sometimes.....putting your foot in the water - but not really wanting to go in for a swim!
I'm not saying people don't get upset if there is alot of contact and you get attached - and then it all stops
But the intenet is more shallow , less serious , and more ''throw away''
Lots of people talk to lots of people on the internet.....its hard to find that 'special one' that way
Can't say it never happens - but I reckon there are WAY more UNSUCCESFUL stories than succesful ones!

That is how I met my current boyfriend!!
We have been together for over 6 months....
I'm visiting him in May, most likely.
Of course we are constantly on the phone, and we write letters, etc.
Its one of those things that rarely work, but sometimes...it is just perfect. You know?

I've had internet only FRIENDSHIPS. I would never date someone I've never met before.

no, that whole concept sounds a little strange to me, your dating an idea and not a person.
