Skinny Models.....Wrong?

it is wrong..nobody should have to starve themselves. you could always eat healthy and work out. its disgusting and a bad example.

If they are naturally skinny (I mean slender) that's one thing, but if they are bulimic then there is something very wrong! I think these designers should make these models get a physical before sponsoring them to make sure they are healthy for their own good!!

On a personal note, I think models should have a bit of meat on them. Not fat, just some healthy curves while being fit.

I think that all models should be a healthy weight. I dont understand why designers would rather have an extreamly skinny model instead of a healty one. It sends the wrong message to teens who look up to them, and giving the wrong message to people.

Personally, I think not. I mean, it makes everyone else feel bad because seriously, who IS actually that skinny? Even the "plus size" models are gorgeous but still, how can anyone even think that they are plus sized? I don't know but I think that it gives a bad impact on young girls to be caught up in being skinny and not eating very much. Girls should focus on being their own beautiful self and being nice and considerate.

I dont think models should be as skinny as they are but face it..our world is attracted to skinny! And the models should look good in the clothes so i think they should not be like anorexic or almost anorexic but thin.

I don't think thin models are wrong. It is ok to be naturally thin. I do, however, believe that it is wrong that designers refuse to hire people of a healthy weight. They hire plus sized models for like Lane Bryant and stuff and they hire rail thin anorexic models. It goes from one extreme to another. It sends out the wrong impression to young girls and sets an impossible standard.

I think it's wrong to the society for younger audiences to see the models and hear about being over 100 pounds means ur fat. It gets to them and I think it's wrong to see a really really REALLY skinny model like that!

Girls will lose their self esteem to see models and other women with big breasts or skinny waists...America what have you done to society???

i think it is most deffinetly wrong unless they are just born like naturally skinny

models shouldnt starve to death to walk down a runway or take a picture ..i mean come on

people that are bigger are just as pretty if not more then skinny bone ones

I think that it is wrong for designers to require them to be that weight because then they are responsible for there unhealthiness but it is not wrong for models to do it on there own. It is there decision although i think they are highly influenced by the rest of the fashion world.

I think it's really super gross, but companies want models that make their clothes look good

If your skinny enough it's like hanging them on a hanger with nice hair and pretty eyes

It's sort of a must in selling clothes... I still think its gross though :D

depends on how skinny..

i mean anorexic is just not that appealing or attractive .. but i think that models that are overly skinny give children the wrong impression ...
