Damn right he should have, you shouldn't go messing with a dude's duckie that would be like accidentally making it with his old lady. Ernie would definitely win, he fights dirty and always has a butterfly knife in his back pocket.

I think they all should have joined Elmo on The Martha Stewart show so they could have been poisoned by Ernies cooking with Martha. Even a homemade noose from Martha would have worked. The rubber duckie ended up with Big Bird. He was sitting on it thinking it was a family member dropped off on the steps by the Postman.
