An awkward way to hook up - what would you do?

Question

Ok, so my sister recently got her hair done by some lady who was looking to hook her daughter up.  From what it sounded like, when my sister mentioned that I worked for the state legislature and was college educated this lady went ape sh!t.  She gave my sister a picture of her daughter (she's way cute by the way) and her phone number to pass on to me.  Needless to say, I think this is a little awkward.  So, if you were me, what would you say?  

Additional info:
A Republican suggest I use this line: Your mother thinks I'm hot [crap] so wanna do it?  (Man, I love family value republicans!)  Anyway, I say no to that.

Just call her. Tell her that it's  a bit awkward and out of character for you to be calling but that you thought she was really cute in the photo and her mother loves you.

If you are at least curious then I would suggest that you call her and see where it goes from there..............That is what I would do if I were you..................My sister-n-law worked at a factory some years back and one of the ladies she worked with told her that she really liked her and wanted to know if she was interested in coming to the ladies house for dinner one night to meet her son......................They have been together now for 14 years..............You never know how these things can turn out...............

I you think she is cute and you want to go out with her then just call her and say, "your mother gave my sister your picture and phone number and thought I might be interested in dating you and I am. Would you like to go out with me" Chances are she already knows everything about you and I.m sure she will say yes. Hope y'all have a great time.

Your mother gave you picture to my sister - would you like to met, for a soda and walk int the park on Saturday.
Then if things click - if not OK it the end - nothing ventured nothing gained.

If I were you, I wouldn't agree to go out with her. You don't know her, and you are right, it is very awkward. But, if you would like to meet her,  it wouldn't hurt to call her, and get to know her.
