Did anyone feel the earthquake at 5:37 this morning?
Well i'm in southern indiana and this morning (Friday, April 18, 2008) at 5:37 our time, we had a earthquake. I am guessing it was about a 3 and lasted about 10 seconds. I was just wondering who felt that and what area you live in. Thanks!
Also, did anyone's pets act weird before it? My dog slept through the whole thing!

I live up in Carmel / Westfield Indiana and felt it pretty well up here. It actually woke me up. I think it lasted about 20 seconds, but tough to judge time when thats how you wake up and trying to figure out what the hell is going on. haha! I have talked to some friends who said their dogs got a little anxious and barked before the quake, but right before it happened they got stopped barking and went and hid.

Yes, I felt it here in northern Indiana. Annie, it was just about IN your backyard. Our early morning news got the official report that at 5:37 epicenter West Salem, IL experienced a 5.4 earthquake. They said it was preliminary information, the number may go up. Depth was 3.1 miles.
I went to college just west of Sringfield, IL and we had an earthquake then but it's rare. We always heard there was a fault line thru St. Louis. That was back in 1974 I think. We felt one in IN in 1987, but it was pretty small.
West Salem is SE of Springfield, IL and SW of Bloomington, IN

Yup, came all the way up to Grand Rapids, MI. Was rather wierd, I thought I was half asleep until a bowl fell off my desk. Never thought I'd feel an Earthquake in Michigan.

Vincennes, IN - About 30 miles from the epicenter. Like most people we were awaken by it.
3 Dogs and not one of them barked once! A guy I work with said his cat went crazy a few seconds before it happened.
