What would some movies look like if their budgets were slashed by, say.....95%?

"Titanic" would be about a girl and guy who meet on a rubber life raft, which hits a rock and deflates, sinking to the bottom of a public swimming pool. The lifeguard is too slow to reach poor Jack....

"Apocalypse Now" would be about a guy in army fatigues who walks over to a former Marine colonel's house, and kicks over the house plants.

What would happen? All those new 'director cut' type movies would actually be good cause they wouldn't have the extra film to waste on things like watching the grass grow. Ex: No Country for Old Men could have been cut by about 30 minutes.

I'm sick of those movies that drag on cause the director has decided to keep the camera on one thing for waaaaay too long then in the end doesn't give and ending. Oh how that frustrates me to no end! I'm tired of being left unsatisfied in the end. (lol. as usual)

Back to the Future would only go back a week. 300 would have probably been just 3. Star Wars would be filmed in different cars at night to give it that space look.Major League would have taken place at a City recrational field. Gone in Sixty Seconds would have only had one car stolen.

With any luck all the special effects would go back to the old stop motion effects, with pasted in rubber monsters threatening

    old fashioned heroes.

Some would become so bad and laughable they'd become enjoyable indeed.

Pure kitsch is an art form.

Hmm! You are so good at slashing the budget! How about the movie with Tom Hanks and the love affair with Fed Ex and the sports ball?

possibly the cuts could have been to the instructor pensions and wellness care, relatively than to truly college operations? you already know, like what Walker and the Republicans did in Wisconsin? by using getting instructors (and different government union individuals) pay portion of their pensions and wellness care, merely like private workers have been doing, that frees up the money to bypass to operations that promptly benefit the pupil, relatively of to advantages for the academics on the price of the scholars. there's a cost subject linked with instructor union advantages - the quicker this is addressed, the extra suitable off scholars would be.
