Are you an organ/tissue donor?? Why or why not??

Yes, I am - it is like a final gift, you certainly don't need them anymore, why wouldn't you help someone who does need them to live.

I am. When I'm dead, I won't need any of my organs and if they can help someone else that's great.

I don't believe that what makes us human or beloved or unique resides in our flesh. The part of us that matters leaves us when we die.

So many people die because organs aren't available. I might not be able to prevent my own death, but maybe on the way out I could help someone else.

Remember, you're not a donor if your family doesn't know!

I have it on my license so that if I am in a car accident or something they can have whatever they want then.

Reason #3: This one is stupid, but I heard that when they perform an autopsy they just shove them back in all topsy-turvy. The thought of my organs being all out of place just makes me cringe. (Silly I know, but hey, I'll be dead when it happens!)

Yes, cuz its of no use to me where I'm going. My family won't need it cuz we have the O+ blood and can use just about everyones organs/tissue I think.

I am too..... I cant understand anyone who would not donate their organs!! I tried to be, however after finding out I had been exposed to a particular viral infection some time during my life...they won't even take my blood for tests...
