Most people belief in fate (destiny), does it really work in one's life?

Some are poor, rich, etc., but, they concluded by saying: they were destined to become what they are, is this true?

    Yes and no.

    Free will, not fate, determines destiny.

    Fate is not a choice. People are not helpless in choosing their destiny as atheists would believe.

    To me, fate is real. Except on a special intervention from the most high God who will send someone to up-lift one higher or otherwise in other to change his destiny.
