diabetes test result is 15 is this good or bad?
This is after fasting for 12 hours and getting tested in the AM. The lab flagged it saying it was borderline. My dr isn't worried and isn't dooing nothing about it. I've almost passed out from sudden hypoglucemic episodes twice in the past week. Any suggestions? Also is the 15 good or bad.
mmol/l is what it was or however the lab here in the us measures it. Dr did not seemed concerned but i've been told it's rather high. Diet doesn't help as i already eat fairly healthy

See another doctor. Yours is obviously a quack. As the others have said:
1) If this 15mmol/l you have full blown diabetes, hyperglycemia (type 1 or type 2 diabetes). Should be 4 to 6mmol/l
2) If its 15mg/dl you shouldn't be able to walk about (hypoglycemia). Should be 70 to 100mg/dl
3) If its your HbA1c its way too high and you have diabetes. Should be less than 6.5% (HbA1c is measured in % and therefor not dependant on mmol/l or mg/dl conventions).
If you don't know what it is, your doctor should have explained and he isn't doing his job at the very least, dangerously incompetent at worst.

You don't give us enough information. Was this in mmol/L or mg/dl ?
If you are in Canada and that was your blood glucose, its very high, and is not prediabetic, but full diabetic. If you are in the USA that would be so low you would be unconscious.
If that's your A1c, than you have diabetes and need treatment.
I really can't understand that being flagged as borderline, and not diabetic.
Look at the printout again and give us more info please.

15 is bad. Avoid sugar and high amounts of carbohydrates. Eat balanced meals with whole grain carbs at regular times. Losing weight helps control diabetes.

Is that 15mmol? If it is, thats way to high for a fasting number. The normal is 4-7mmol (Note: UK and Canada use mmol). If thats 15mg/dl, thats way to low and you'd probably be in the hospital. The normal is aprox. 70-110mg/dl (Note: USA uses mg/dl)

15 is actually quite high as you should be about 4-8. Try eating more healthier and it will be reduced. if it goes mcuh higher then yes you will be a diabetic.

depends on what the 15 is. Is it your blood sugar? If so, eat something. That is way too low and no wonder you are passing out.
