Suzuki Boulevard 1800 2005 stuck in first gear?
I don't know jack about jap bikes so I can't for the life of me figure what people mean when they tell me my shift fork is stuck...I can't get out of 1st gear except to neutral.... any ideas or suggestions? Im lost... Gotta ride but can't get it to a shop today everyone seems to think its the shifter fork but then where and what is that and how do I fix it? ive googled it and nothing....thanks in advance

Most likely a bent shifting fork, but there could be some component that's come adrift in the gearbox. Fixing it is not a job for an untrained technician.

If you don't know anything about how it works best leave it to the experts. The shifter fork is inside the transmission/engine case. Most of the time the fork gets bent and needs to be replaced. Can't tell you how much it will cost all shops are different. You can call Suzuki dealers and ask how much to replace the shift fork to get an idea.
