Any women that have had their tonsils out as an adult and had a baby?

My wife and I are debating what is more painful. Having a baby (vaginally) or your tonsils out as an adult (over 20 years old)?

I had my daughter natural child birth ....meaning NO medications at all.....and I also have my tonsils removed as a adult when I was 29 y/o . I can only speak for myself....having my tonsils removed as a adult was the WORST pain I ever had !!!! I eating, drinking, talking...taking a deep breath in ...was the worst pain I ever felt. I would gladly go through natural child birth again ...again ...and again. I had my daughter on Monday morning...was home tuesday ...driving my car, walking around....doing normal things ( for the most part. I really did not have any pain during natural child birth ...I guess I was one of the lucky few.

I bet you're wondering about the after pain such as comparison to after delivery and post-op tonsilectomy. Of course one is asleep during a tonsilectomy and awake having a baby but the after effects of each can range from very painful to not really much at all after having a baby. I thought the recovery after my first was the worst-first kids can be like that. I have heard that having a tonsilectomy recovery can be more painful for an adult than a child having the tonsils out similar to a guy either getting circumsized as a baby vs. an adult later on.

BABY! Having your tonsils removed as an adult is just an outpatient surgery nowadays. You're in, and you're out. Not even comparable!

Although having a tonsilectomy is extremely painful due to the recovery, childbirth wins by a mile in the 'pain' category! Not even comparable.
