Is "Expelled" nothing more than a manipulative method to conflate free speech with the scientific method?

The film claims that people who make baseless claims without physical evidence are being "discriminated" against.

Discuss.

Update:

Conflate:

Latin conflatus,

1 a: to bring together : fuse b: confuse

2: to combine (as two readings of a text) into a composite whole

Update 2:

Nina...I didn't ask if you loved it. I asked if you understood that Ben Stein has no idea what science is, or any knowledge of 150 years of science advancement.

Yes, to some extent but without much method. If evolution is going to be ridiculed to this degree simply because it contradicts the Bible then maybe the Bible should be ridiculed in public schools. Give science the same opportunity to point out the "gaps" in religion in public schools or just keep them separate. A stupid electorate is good for conservatives and that is probably their main motive. Ben Stein is a manipulative, self-indulgent, narcissistic, and deluded tool.

I saw it and fully understood what the message is. Ben Stein was showing that there is a wall up known as evolution that is without foundation. What these people adamantly defend is, in effect, indefensible.

I know you did not ask if I liked it, but I did and it was successful in putting holes in the great wall of evolution.

"Expelled" is nothing more than a typical religious propaganda film. (And a blatantly obvious one at that.)

Fortunately, the only people who are going to buy into the claims made in it are the people who already think that way, anyway. There's nothing in it that will convince anyone else otherwise.

Well, what else are they going to do? Play honestly by the rules of science?

    Manipulation is all they have.

Yep. That seems to be the entire strategy for ID. They demand equal time for unequal ideas.

You serious? You think science has all the answers? Where did the first cell come from? Please list the web link so I can read about it. Facts only. No opinions allowed. We are talking evidence here after all.
