I've had the same dream since I was a child. It's like I'm watching a movie of myself around age 4 or 5, playing on the living room floor of my parents home and I'm kidnapped by a man in a cowboy hat and I'm so terrified I cannot scream to alert my mom who was taking a bath in another room, instead I'm just in shock and just as this guy throws me over his shoulder and walks out the front door with me, I muster up a small whimper of 'help'. I've seriously had this dream for years.. I'm 31 yrs old now and I had it just a few years ago again, it's always the same dream. What do you think this means??

I used to. It was always the same dream, night after night. I was driving through the desert, in the back seat, stacked from the floor to the top of the seat were gas cans, all full.

I drove until there was no one else in sight, tossed a cigarette into the back and woke up when it exploded.

By the end of the second week of this, not getting sleep I finally saw a shrink and got some time off from work and some meds to help keep balanced. No more nightmares since then. No more thoughts about suicide.

yes, I have a constant dream that he dies, usually in a car accident, since I was 19 it's been a recurring dream. They are in color, and I feel like it's really happening.

Sometimes I think this dream is my subconscious showing me that he is broken and empty and when I awaken all I wanna do is save him.

but sometimes they can't be saved no matter how hard you try to hold on, no matter how much you try

I also have floating staircases in my dreams alot !!!, they usually start no where, and lead to no where one time the staircase turned into a slide and I slid down instead.

I have water in my dream alot too. One time I had a dream I was sitting on white granite stairs, and the sky and water was blue, and the water got higher on the stairs, and higher & the waves were crashing, and I wouldn't leave the stairs, so I drowned.

The other day, I had a dream of very blue water and blue skys, I was para-sailing, in the warmest waters I ever swam in.

    Do I ever, and it's a dozy.

It's a nested nightmare in which I keep waking up, over and over, only to realize I'm still asleep, dreaming I'm awake. It's very vivid, and I can't tell the difference even when I am fully awake. Darn right spooky. Started more than 20 years ago following a near fatal bout with pneumonia.

I have one dream that comes back to me like once a year. Its the only dream I can ever remember.

I've had it since I was real little.

All I really rememeber of it.. is I'm on a mountain, and I have to walk across this really thin line of rope to save my sister at the other side, so I go to walk it, I fall, but I always wake up before I finish the dream.. so I still dont know what happens.

I am diabetic and if I remember correctly, the dreams come with very low blood sugar. They usually seem to be in different locations (offices) with old fashiond or damaged equipment or both. The places are shabby and dirty and ill lit. I acquire a pile of work that I never seem able to resolve. Sometimes I am on my own, others, former employers are there.

On waking from this dream I usually eat several sugar cubes just in case I am too low.

No. I have mentally blocked a better part of my dreams just to not have to deal with such things.

Occasionally some things (good and bad) poke through the holes but I rarely remember the full details or the full dream.

We're gonna have to have a talk about these serious questions...

  • yes, I have several.

traveling down a long winding road

    or

back in high school vying for some attention of some unrequited love, and lost looking for the right classroom or running late to class or have forgotten my homework

    or

being lost in a big airport or building

    or

a house with a secret room, usually a big bedroom with a bathtub or pool in it. its very old and a little run down but very beautiful. and there is always stairs and winding walkways to get there. I like that one the best it starts out scary, but I end up feeling calm in there.

Yes. I used to dream I was running/hiding from people trying to kill me. It was symbolic of things in my life I had been running from (ie. the dentist, doctor, money probs). Another one I still have is about a house or houses with hidden passage ways. I really love those ones.

Yes....when I was younger, I often woke up thinking spiders were on my pillow. After I got married, I woke up thinking spiders were dangling in my face. When my youngest daughter was 2, she had a near drowning experience. After that, I didn't have nightmares about spiders again...until this past winter, just before my mother died.

So I dread the spider nightmares.
