looking for a good Continental Restaurant?
Ok, I'm going out to dinner with 2 other couples and to be honest I know these people on the phone but have not met them in person, so I am looking for a nice restaurant, top cost of $50 per person, and I would guess continental type restaurant, so everyone can find something they like on the menu. I'm looking in the area of Philly or out towards Doylestown. I don't think Philly is like NY when asking for a restaurant. Anything sensable would be appreciated.

My fav restaurant is actually The Continental Restaurant in downtown Philadelphia (its also known for martini's) They just opened another one so there are two... the one at 138 Market St, Philadelphia, is the original and has a modern almost 50's style diner feel with AWESOME food. The newer one is at 1801 Chestnut St, Philadelphia- and the dining experience seems a little more classy and modern with good food, but I always like the original better :P I suggest to get the salad to share as an appetizer- it is my favorite and to die for!!! ooo, and the pomegranate martini!

In Phoenixville (of all places) is one of my top 3 restaurants in the world. Not very expensive, and BYOB. Dinner for two with appetizers cost me $70.
the Black Lab Bistro. Also has some outdoor seating.

In the city, you could try Jones on 7th and Chestnut. It's a nice place (a Starr restaurant fwiw) and has a pretty good menu for catering to people with all kinds of tastes.

I've always used the search or links on this site to look further though:
