If global warming is real, then why is it freezing in Southern California?
They should rename global warming to global climate UNCHANGE... Since it seems that all of that extra CO2 is slowing the transition from Winter to Summer.....
Oh my... Let me see... the difference between weather and climate??? HMMMMM Didn't you guys dub it global WARMING.... IT AIN'T WARM!!! You can paint a rock pink and call it whatever you like but it is still a rock.... IT IS COLD so you abstract thinkers can be neck deep in snow and believe Gore when he says that you are warming but it simply ain't a happenin.... I am in the same situation here in Wales.
You know it's called weather, so do I.
I would tend to believe that it has much to do with the position of the jet stream, as it was in 1985 when I was living there, and we experienced a cold snap not seen for decades which damaged much of the citrus crop.
It is a bit funny however that this was nearing the end of the 'Global Cooling' scares that the so-called scientists were claiming that we were heading into.
They were happy to use that event to justify their beliefs back then also.

You don't do the global warming denial movement any good by refusing to learn the difference between weather and climate.

The reason So Cal is so freezing is because global warming is making unstable, unusual weather patterns.

That's not a very good point. One place does not account for the globe.
A better point is: Why is the global warming phenomenon restricted to only the northern hemisphere?

Your argument only works if global warming theory predicts that So-Cal will never experience freezing temperatures. And, well, it doesn't. So it doesn't. (Well, it might. Maybe you know something I don't.)

Good point. And why was there frost on my window this morning when there wasn't last week? Clearly summer is not approaching.

funny weather we are having lately!
my mate in l.a. said there was a heat wave last week, while my mate in vermont was ploughing through snow drifts at the same time....
then there's the droughts in other parts of the u.s.

(i have stuck to u.s. because you dont seem to believe the rest of the world exists)

it is climate change which means what your use to just might never be the same again

because Southern California is not the world and so it being "cold" is not disproving anything.
