Any good, inexpensive, table saws?
I'm looking to buy a table saw, but not a piece of junk. I don't really need the bells and whistles, I just want something that is going to last. I'm the type that normally would pay extra money for a better tool, in the case of choosing one thats either $30 or $60. But when there is a difference between $100 and $600, I'm less likely to take that leap. I was thinking Makita, or a brand on that level. I've given up on all things craftsmen, power tools especially. Any suggestions?
Don: I had no intentions of buying a table saw for $30, I was talking about other tools, like a power drill

Assuming the $30 vs $60 was just an example ....OK
A table saw in that range is scary.
Agree about Craftsman,.... but that's just us.
Cost being an issue , might look for factory refurbs or floor models of better machines that have some dings but still have factory warranty..

first off you are not going to find a table saw in the $30 to $60 dollar range PERIOD.
Next all make good products, including Craftsman, Makita, Dewalt, Rigid, Powermate, and on and on.
Powermate is used by more proffesional rather then home use.

I bought one a few years ago, small one made by Delta for around $100. I use it mainly for ripping, it is too small for easily cutting large stock like plywood. I like it for the portability and have had no problems with it. Had a very large one before that, it was too big and heavy to take to a job site and took up too much room in my garage.
